Diseñístico is a business where creativity and exploration are promoted. We design utilitarian furniture, provide advice on internal design and architecture and teach manual arts workshops as a tool for learning and empowerment. We are a women's business in a commercial sector dominated and led by men since ancient times. Sofía Alpízar is our leader, who can be found working in the workshop, making deliveries in the truck, designing or supporting you in each project.
At Diseñístico we create value for society. Our purpose is to empower people through our training workshops, quality products that are sustainable at the same time. Thanks to our methodology and strategy, we do NOT generate waste at any stage of production.
In our workshops, people learn how to use tools from screwdriver to drill, miter saw or jigsaw. If you thought you had no ability or that you have clumsy hands, at Diseñístico we teach you to rediscover or develop new skills, overcome your fears, channel that anxiety and energy, share and learn through creativity.
We are not a traditional workshop. In this business, women are the ones who transform, define trends, manufacture, drive trucks, negotiate with suppliers and break the masculine scheme of traditional workshops.
Diseñístico was born as a concept when Sofia (our boss) was studying Architecture at the university. From that moment on, she knew that she wanted to generate value through her professional training.
The line of utility furniture gained strength in 2020 during the Covid19 pandemic. All the knowledge about furniture, Sofia has acquired from her father Don Freddy, since she was a child playing, learning and surrounding herself with wood, observing and enjoying creativity.
Diseñístico seeks to generate impact on society, designing high-end furniture at affordable prices in such a way that people can acquire products that have greater durability and functionality.
Through our workshops we seek that as many people as possible can explore and develop new manual skills, which have been lost thanks to advances in technology and that in daily life are essential to raise awareness, humanize, overcome fears and empower.
In this business we believe in God. We have been able to see how through faith, effort and dedication, each product and service is consolidated day by day.
